An AWS credential lets an Arklow SQS source read messages from your account.

Required permissions

  • sqs:ReceiveMessage
  • sqs:DeleteMessage

Create your credentials

Create the access key against the IAM user that holds these permissions. The steps are in Manage access keys for IAM users.

Add credentials to Arklow

Open the credentials page

Go to Credentials and click Create credential.

Pick the type

Set Credential Type to AWS Credentials.

Enter the key

Paste the Access Key ID. Arklow uppercases it as you type. Paste the Secret Access Key below it. The secret stays hidden and is encrypted at rest.

Save

Click Create credential.
